What does your work look like?

The Valuations & Modelling team is part of the Deals practice at PwC Advisory. The Deals practice supports our clients to make their transaction successful, from strategy to post-deal integration.  This includes Transaction Services (Due Diligence), Strategy, Corporate Finance (M&A and Debt & Capital Advisory), Restructuring Services, Debt & Capital advisory. Each team offers data driven insights that enable clients to move in the right direction, ensuring maximum value for their business. Together we build trust in society and solve important problems.

As a Manager in our Dutch Valuations & Modelling team you will be:

  • Responsible for the design and delivery of financial models and analytical solutions tailored to our client needs, both in a Deal and non-Deal context, to provide robustness to business-critical decisions. This will include supporting Management / CFO decisions, providing operational and strategic Business Intelligence, enhancing M&A transactions, supporting capital raises and providing model reviews;
  • Maximizing the analytical and modelling capabilities within the team, by mentoring (senior) associates, facilitating internal trainings and help create centers of modelling excellence within PwC;
  • Liaising and nurturing relationships with clients, your team and the wider business;
  • Continuously learning and developing within a dynamic environment, bringing yourself to work and your unique perspectives to innovate the way we work.

About you

You are analytically strong with a background in financial modelling and/or are skilled in data analysis. Your passion for solving problems using the latest modelling technology combined with your interpersonal and organizational skills will set you up for success. You will have relevant qualifications in business, economics or a related discipline and have an understanding and interest of commercial issues facing businesses. Being part of our high performing team means you will be exposed to a variety of industries and situations to grow this knowledge and experience. 

You are passionate about being at the forefront of change, you are ready to help our Deals teams deliver innovative deal solutions to our clients, providing advice and support, from initiation through to deal completion, as well as supporting the broader firm in delivering best in class modelling and analytics solutions.

A keen interest in (further) developing your skills in any of the below would be an advantage:

  • Power Query / Power Pivot, R, Python, Alteryx
  • Power BI and Tableau
  • CFA qualification 

You are collaborative and enjoy working in an innovative environment. Most importantly, you act with integrity and show care for the people you work with.

Furthermore:

  • You have a master degree in science, (Industrial) Engineering, Business Administration, (Business) Economics, Econometrics, Actuarial Studies or a technical study programme. If you have a degree in another discipline and have an affinity with the field(s) described above, we would also encourage you to apply for this position;
  • You have at least 5 years of working experience within the financial modelling, infrastructure or corporate finance/deals environment;
  • You have a passion for finance and strategy Valuation knowledge is preferred;
  • You are confident, self-secure and flexible;
  • You love to work in a fast paced, multi-disciplinary and ever-changing environment;
  • You enjoy working in teams, but can also work autonomously;
  • You enjoy coaching and sharing knowledge within your team;
  • You are analytical and pragmatic; and
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Knowledge of the Dutch language is preferred.
