Your job

A complex structure of systems, data models and responsibilities require an effective design of processes and data flows, which are secured within a framework of controls and responsibilities. As a Business Developer, together with business and IT colleagues, you design the data flows required to enable the calculation of credit risks and to efficiently disclose the results to the various bank internal and external users. You also perform analysis on data that runs through the reporting chain, for the purpose of testing new functionality or supporting the reporting process. Based on these analyses, you initiate and define improvement proposals.

As Basel Business Developer you will contribute to:

  • Working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders of Finance, Risk, Business and Operational Risk Management (ORM) in defining requirements and acceptance requirements that must define change initiatives.
  •  Designing functional solutions for dataflows and processes based upon the requirements defined.
  • The analysis of data elements in order to detect and resolve data issues both in the development of new changes and the operational execution of the Basel process.
  • The definition and execution of controls as part of the Control FrameWork (CFW) that must safeguard a correct and controlled Basel process.
  • The set up and maintenance of documentation describing the functional design of the Basel process.

Your profile

The ideal candidate is expected to:

  • Master degree and 5 years+ experience in a related field;
  • Experience with interacting with various stakeholders across departments in a related organisation;
  • You have good knowledge of credit risk and regulations, modelling, banking products, financial institutions and risk management and working experience in a banking environment;
  • Proven experience and interest in either process management, data analysis, or functional IT design.
  • Proven experience in Financial Risk processes, especially in Basel and Common Reporting (COREP).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English;
  • You are an enthusiastic, proactive, assertive and result driven team player, who can work independently and is able to translate requirements into concrete execution;
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliancy requirements, Basel regulations, prudential reporting and/or RWA calculation.

Working environment

The Financial Risk (FR) GRID is part of the FRBG and is responsible for change and operational activities supporting the Basel Chain, IFRS Chain, model implementation, FR&R, CRM process. In order to maintain and improve regulatory compliancy and to support strategic Finance and Risk ambitions it is instrumental that the change activities withing the financial risk GRID are managed in an effective and efficient manner. These change activities are managed via several large-scale programs across the (credit Risk) value chain for which the ultimate responsibility lies with the Finance and Risk business GRIDs.
