Your job

As a Data Literacy Consultant, your focus will be on driving community building, learning, and partnering with stakeholders within the bank to further build on our data foundation. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to enhance our data management capabilities and embed data literacy into everyday practices.

The Data Awareness & Education team raises awareness of the importance of data among all employees within ABN AMRO. You will lead initiatives that raise awareness about the importance of data management, fostering a culture that values data-driven decision-making. Some examples of your key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing strategies to increase data literacy among employees at all levels of the organization, tailored to the needs of various departments and skill levels
• Working together with the Data Domains to improve awareness in data management and governance
• Delivering engaging training sessions and educational materials to enhance data skills and knowledge for data professionals including Data Stewards, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts
• Establishing and supporting data communities within the organization to encourage continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and best practice adoption
• Equipping senior leadership of the bank to transform into data-driven leaders
• Setting up and nurturing the data communities across the bank in order to develop a data society within the bank
• Establishing metrics to measure the effectiveness of data literacy initiatives

Working environment

The Awareness & Education team is part of the Data Value Creation department within the CDO organization. The Data Value Creation department consists of three teams: Data Business Partners, Applied AA&AI and Awareness & Education. As a Data Literacy Consultant, you will collaborate with all business lines, international branches, and subsidiaries of the bank. We all work together at the forefront of the largest data transformation in the banking industry and with the core value-assets of the organization.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a relevant field such as data management, education, or strategy
• Proven experience in designing and delivering transformation and education programs, preferably in a corporate setting
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey challenging concepts in a clear and accessible manner
• Skilled in identifying data literacy needs and providing tailored solutions to drive organizational change
• Effective cross-functional collaboration skills
• Understanding of data management concepts, principles, and practices is a plus
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a bonus)

We are offering

• The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
• The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.
• Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
• Personal development Budget of € 1,000 per year, which you can accumulate up to € 3,000.
• Possibility to work from home (in consultation with your team and depending on your position).
• An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
