The customer Journey Expert works daily in a Squad consisting of multidisciplinary experts. In a Squad you will work in sprints of two weeks focusing on a specific purpose. Depending on that specific purpose and based on your strengths, expertise, added value and personal development objectives you will rotate squads between sprints. The Squad is your home, which represents your
team. To expand your expertise, you are a member of the Chapter Pricing. Within the Pricing family you learn, share and expand your specific knowledge.

As a customer Journey Expert you are responsible for Run and Change. You start your working day by analyzing the processes you are responsible for by checking all available data. You will perform root cause analysis including A/B testing and implement to deliver better service to our clients. You are continuously searching for ways to improve the level of digitization, lower our costs and improve our customer satisfaction.

You and your colleague CJE’s Pricing have the end-to-end responsibility for maintaining and enhancing the pricing framework with the aim to optimize commercial results. You develop models and solutions that will optimize our growth whilst meeting our financial targets. The pricing framework consists amongst others of risk and demand models and an optimized commercial tariff. You continuously strive to improve the framework by investigating the use of additional internal or
external datasets or new techniques in addition to the GLM or machine learning models used in the framework.

As a customer Journey Expert you actively participate in our ‘agile way of working’ through the daily stand-up’s, demo’s, refinement and retro’s. These moments are designed to share experiences and insights to constantly grow and improve as a team and as an organization. A prerequisite in your work is that you have an excellent understanding of the client and its needs. You gain these insights through regular customer interaction, specifically in relation to pricing.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • You report to the Chapter Lead Pricing
  • Responsible for the complete pricing process, from the start of the data extraction from our data warehouse to the final implementation of the new rates in the production environment on our website and other channels and the impact the prices have on the call and chat volumes in our CCC.
  • Continuously optimizing of our current premiums and rating structures based on both internal and external datasets, and advanced modelling techniques. You benchmark inside and outside the company for best practices. You combine these insights from these different sources into creative solutions that further improve our data framework and processes.
  • Frequent implementation of price adjustments within the agreed price change boundaries to rapidly respond to developments in key performance indicators like revenue, profit, sales and  competitive position in the market.
  • Responsible for the development of tariffs for new products like travel insurance and legal liability.
  • You align with Risk, Compliance and Legal stakeholders, you manage risk assessments, as well as the terms and conditions for your product group
  • You help your colleagues to be successful in their work.
  • You actively participate in your chapter and drive the expertise in your area of expertise within your chapter to bring that to a higher level for you and your colleagues.

We expect from you

  • University degree in econometrics, data science or actuarialsciences.
  • Between 1 to 5 years’ experience with proven track record in P&C pricing.
  • Experience in one or more programming languages (e.g. SAS, R,Python), knowledge of pricing software such as Radar and Emblem would be ideal.
  • You oversee the full scope of the pricing processes and you can place that in the broader context of Allianz Direct NL and international.
  • You have strong analytic skills and use data with a creative mind. Your decisions are always supported by data.
  • You are entrepreneurial and passionate about innovations in the insurance industry. You look in the market on regular basis to identify market movement and leading practices.
  • You are a real team player.
  • You have strong communication skills, and an excellent level of the English language.
  • You actively partner-up with your peers internationally to see how we can develop our pricing further and share best practices.
  • You embrace change, the agile culture and the agile way of working.
  • You can act as a PO in a Squad and you perform that role on a regular basis.
