The opportunity

Our Business Development team in Financial Services helps drive market-leading profitable growth for the firm through a range of activities from client and pursuit leadership through to account growth support. Within this team  in The Netherlands, we are now looking for an account manager in our Financial Services Industry team.

Your key responsibilities

The Business Development Manager is responsible for delivering exceptional client service to our clients by understanding client issues and challenges, leveraging the firm’s capabilities (Consulting, Tax, Assurance and Strategy and Transactions) to address these and driving new business opportunities to grow revenue and to deepen customer relationship management. Focusing on multiple Core accounts within the Financial Services Segment this role will drive (global) accounts strategy, rigorous account planning and relationship development across the client(s) organization. Key Responsibilities include: Delivering global revenue results as well as personal sales and pipeline targets. Spending approximately 80% of your leading by example by being externally focused and engaging with the client and delivering exceptional client experience. Acting as a proxy for the Client Service Partner both internally and externally with the client(s).

Skills and attributes for success

High energy, commitment and team spirit are crucial in this role. You have affinity with the services that service providers like EY provide.Last but not least the willingness to learn and develop yourself in these services.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience;
  • Ability to build high-impact relationships quickly and sustain them;
  • Ability to team with and influence technical partners to formulate the best strategy to serve the client;
  • Excellent command of spoken and written Dutch and English;
  • Bachelor or Master’s degree or equivalent.

Ideally, you also have

  • Experience within the Insurance industry and or IT industry;
  • Ability to bring new ideas and innovation to deliverables with a strong focus on transformative digital, and/or Alliance based solutions;
  • Agile and growth-oriented mindset and the ability to flex personal style as required;
  • Pursuit management experience;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent MS office skills including Teams, Excel and PowerPoint.
